The Committee on Bishops’ Concern:

The Ministry for Bishops’ Concern was created last July 2001 during the 83rd Bishops’ Plenary Assembly. It basically provides the on-going formation of Bishops under the Episcopal Commission on Clergy with the vision of renewal, ongoing formation and assistance to brother bishops as signs of hope and growth in the Church.

The objectives of the ministry is: a) to provide relevant program on ongoing formation/renewal adapted to the special concerns and needs of the Bishops to enhance their continual growth as persons and as chief shepherds of God’s flock and b) to provide relevant assistance for personal renewal of bishops in special situations and needs.

Functions of the Committee

a) Shall plan and implement a program of Bishops’ ongoing formation.

b) Shall assist Bishops in special difficulties.
